A conversation with Alina, part of our Customer Success Team at Alpega! (copy 3)

Meet Alina, our Customer Success Operations Officer!

Hi Alina. Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?

Hi! A bit about me? I am from Bulgaria. I moved to Belgium eight years ago, with my partner. I can safely say it was a great decision, as I could build the life I wanted for myself. Belgium is a diverse country, with rich culture. I love going on trips around Belgium

Could you explain to me your role and your contribution to the Customer Success Team?

I am something between a help desk for my team and the bridge between other departments. I get all the information and put it together, while also handling the onboarding of the carriers. It’s a job with different synergies inside Alpega: I communicate with developers, finance and legal, so I get to meet a lot of people – both internally and externally.

If I had to put it simply: I make the Customer Success Team work easier

How did you end up joining Alpega?

I was already working in Belgium, but in a different company. I felt the need to change to a different environment and culture. I wanted to be in a place where I felt my work valued, but that also cared for my well-being as an employee.

Once I got to Alpega, I was first an Implementation Officer. The road to become a Customer Success Operations Officer came naturally, as I got handed over different and more challenging projects each time. It was also important that I got ownership – but that was handed with trust from my managers.

Now, I work on a global scale, in adapting and improving processes internally, which is what I like doing.

One thing that I appreciate at Alpega is the fact that I was given the space to explore my talents and do what I do best. I feel helpful – here, if they see you doing well on something, they give you more space to develop that.

What is one way you would describe the feeling of being an Alpega employee?

Fast, furious… and surprising. It feels like I joined yesterday, although now I look at it and I see how I carved my path in the company, by walking the long road to get where I am today.

One important thing about working here is that I don’t feel like an office machine, I feel valued as a human.

Are you comfortable with the work-life balance we provide?

Yes, a lot. We are flexible in a way that I feel I am being given trust. If you are working from home and need to leave for 30 minutes and not affect customers, you can do it. I don’t have children, but this is important for my colleagues that do. And we respect that for our teams.

And why would someone like to join the Customer Success Team at Alpega?

If you like to work with people and with a big international team, have autonomy in your projects… Then, this is the place.
