ALPEGA GROUP STRENGTHENS ITS POSITION IN GARTNER'S 2020 MAGIC QUADRANT FOR TMS

Gartner recently published its Magic Quadrant for Transportation Management Systems for 2020.

The yearly report offers an in-depth review of the existing TMS solutions, showing the competitive positioning of technology vendors considering their completeness of vision and their ability to execute.

In this year's review, Gartner continues emphasizing the growing market for TMS solutions, triggered by shippers’ needs to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and have a better visibility of business performance.

In this growing and competitive context, Alpega Group is proud to be included in this report (previously with our inet solution) for the 9th year in a row and continue our growth in the market. This year's quadrant reflects a step forward for our TMS solution in both the vision and the ability to execute axes.

According to Gartner, one of Alpega TMS's strengths is the fusion of our previous two solutions: "Alpega's strategy of merging its two TMS solutions (Transwide and inet) into Alpega TMS has positioned its product in a way that can serve all levels of complexity and client size utilizing a single platform. This gives Alpega a unified solution to leverage in both ends of the market."

Gartner highlighted as well the fast-growing number of onboarded carriers – over 80,000 today – with a growing presence in North America, APAC, and Latin America. The ever increasing pool of partnerships, such as real-time visibility, analytics, and carbon footprint calculations during transportation processes, to enhance the different capabilities of the TMS, are also positively reviewed by Gartner.

"Gartner's recognition makes us at Alpega Group proud of our work. It motivates us to continue shaping transportation with innovative solutions for shippers and carriers, always searching for ways to tackle the challenges of the industry and transport logistics to the next level with our solutions", says Todd DeLaughter, CEO Alpega Group as a response to the nomination.

“We believe this nomination is evidence that we’re bringing something special to the market. With Alpega TMS there’s no need to worry about changing TMS when your logistics process gets more complex.”, adds DeLaughter.

Written by Gartner analysts Bart De Muynck, Brock Johns, and Oscar Sanchez Duran and published on March 25, 2020.
